Christmas chaos for British Airways passengers
Passengers travelling with British Airways during a planned 12-day strike by cabin crew over Christmas are being offered the chance to rebook their flights at no extra cost.
The offer also applies to those scheduled to fly 48 hours before and after the walkout, which is due to start on 22 December. Passengers will be able to switch to another flight departing within the next 12 months.
Passengers whose flights are cancelled because of industrial action will be offered ticket refunds, or the opportunity to rebook or reroute their journey on another BA flight.
Up to one million passengers will be affected by the disruption after cabin crew voted in favour of a strike in a dispute over job cuts and staffing levels.
Airline bosses are trying to rework flight schedules and said they will inform passengers directly affected via email and text messages.
