Manuel Antonio is also on the Pacific but further south. Here you can find resorts at a higher altitude overlooking the ocean. The Manuel Antonio National Park is an amazing adventure you can’t miss if you are in the area. It’s best to hire a guide (very reasonable) as then he or she can point out animals and insects you would have just walked by oblivious to them, and you get to hear all about them. You also visit the beautiful beach in the park where you can swim.
Both places have a great nightlife, if you want it.
